The health of your soul is far more important than the health of your body so please join me in this challenge of reading through the entire Bible. My plan, assuming I am still here on earth to record Revelation 22:21 when I get there, is to record every chapter in the Bible and link the text in Bible Gateway for those without a printed Bible of thier own as well as study materials for that chapter.
I will not be doing any teaching. I will leave that to those who have doctorates in Bible. While I have a doctorate, mine is in spinal health, so I will defer to those with greater learning in His Word.
I am currently doing research on how to best do this podcast and will be adding the linkages in HTML as soon as I have all the equipment and get started recording.
I love the King James translation of the Holy Bible and there are no copyright laws to contend with so that is the version that I will be using. The King James Bible is an English translation commissioned in 1604 by the English King, James. It took seven years to complete the translation.
The Bible has 66 books: 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.
There are 1189 chapters in the Bible: 929 in the Old Testament and 260 in the New Testament.
To complete reading the Bible in a year, 3.25 chapters daily on average is what it will take to get through this in a year.
It is important to study the Bible in context of the times in which each book was written with a view for application today.
My hope is that as you listen to the Word spoken and study it with the guides linked, that you will see Jesus in every book of the Bible.
If you would like to be a guest reader of a chapter or two (or more), let's talk.
